A month ago, I received an order from a customer looking to
purchase candy for a party. We had a great conversation, and she provided me
with a budget for the anniversary party at her home.
On the Thursday before the party, she came to the store to
pick up her candies. I was out at the time of the pickup. While going through
the order, she thought that I had undersold her. Yes, not over sold. Under
sold.
She was upset, because she did not believe we provided her
with enough sweets for the party based on her requirements. She then proceeded
to purchase 3 times the amount we recommended while at the store.
Recently, I called her to find out how the party went
recently, and she said that it was great. The only challenge was that she had a
lot of extra candies. She mentioned that perhaps in hindsight she should have
listened to me.
It got me thinking.
Preparing for your next party or event can be stressful. You
